Carrie Baltin started her career as an executive search consultant in 1981 with Search West, an established leader in the industry since 1966. As a nationwide lighting and technical specialist, Carrie earned the prestigious company-wide “Corporate Account Executive of the Year” award fifteen times, including 2002, 2001 and 2000. She was also an eight-time winner of “Account Executive of the Year” for the Westlake Village branch.

She held the record for the most successful billing year in the history of Search West, and the top-ever corporate monthly and quarterly billing records.

In 2003, with the retirements of the owners of Search West, Carrie Baltin opened Baltin & Associates.

Baltin & Associates specializes in the Lighting and Electrical industries. The firm excels in recruiting a full spectrum of skilled sales, marketing, engineering and technical professionals at the corporate, regional, and national levels. “Helping our clients to find and hire the best talent in the industry is simply our job,” Carrie explains. “I have a continuing passion for the business.”

Carrie holds a Master’s degree from California State University, Northridge. She is a member of the Illumination Engineering Society of North America (IESNA). She is a regular attendee at the Lightfair International and IES Los Angeles conferences.

Ashton began her executive search career with Management Recruiters of Southern California (subsequently Search West). Joining the company in 1979, she was responsible for ushering in a string of “firsts” with that organization, including implementing the company’s first regular marketing campaigns to candidates and client companies.

With the company’s expansion and name change to Search West, Ashton was selected to formally develop and grow the corporate-wide marketing, advertising and research departments. Providing services for up to 200 search consultants in multiple offices, she demonstrated expertise in using a variety of methods to source, contact and attract prospective client companies and candidates.

Upon the retirements of the owners of Search West, Ashton was approached by several of the top producers of Search West to develop the marketing and research campaigns for their individual companies.

For Baltin & Associates, she has been instrumental in:

• Developing and conducting research plans to effectively implement nationwide searches.
• Sourcing and recruiting industry professionals to effectively match the best companies to the most accomplished talent available.

Ashton is a cum laude graduate of Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, with a B.A. in Psychology. She is a member of the California Staffing Professionals and the Beta Gamma Sigma national honor society for business and management.
